The Best Time to Post — Every Platform, 2026 Data
The exact posting windows that hit the algorithm's golden hour on TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts and Threads.
Most 'best time to post' guides average across every timezone and every niche and end up telling you '9am Tuesday' — a number so generic it's useless. This is the version that survives contact with reality: platform-by-platform, why the windows exist (algo mechanics, not vibes), and how to find YOUR personal peak inside those windows.
TikTok — 7-11pm local, weeknights
- Peak: 7-11pm local time, Mon-Thu. Content posted here gets sampled to the largest test-pool.
- Secondary window: 12-2pm local (lunch-scroll).
- Dead: 3-6am local. TikTok downranks posts that don't get engagement in the first 60 minutes — post at 4am and your video is DOA.
- Weekend caveat: Fri-Sun peaks shift to 6-9pm — earlier because users are out.

- Monday morning is fine but crowded — every guru posts Monday. Tuesday-Wednesday is less crowded, higher signal-to-noise.
Do not post between 10pm and 6am on LinkedIn — the algorithm assumes low-quality content and gives you a minimal starter-pool.
